I can kinda understand wanting to make Jericho looking stronger and all that craic, but why do that, by making Wyatt look even weaker? It doesn't make much sense

The problem is Jericho hasn't been made to look strong since the last time he held the WHC. He is just like Christian in they could be used as credible guys to have new guys go over but WWE has job them out so much to just about everyone it doesn't matter if they lose.
Not to mention Bray character is a cult leader and they are already showing he isn't all he claims to be. If Jericho was working with a guy like Cersaro I could see were you are coming from Sri but Wyatts character just like Kane's, Big Show's and Lesnar's only work when they are winning. They second they lose they are dead.
Remember when The Shield first lost a match clean? It was just a random Smackdown but it was still a big deal and even WWE made it seem like a big deal. The same should have happened with Wyatt. You have to build him up so when he lose not only is it a big deal but he doesn't lose anything from it.

Maybe Rusev could fill that role when they cut out the generic USA vs Russia stuff, I mean come on he isn't even Russian. And yeah, Breeze is cool. nothing "generic" about nationalism in pro wrestling. it's almost as time honored as the business itself..

Also nothing new about guys who aren't really (whatever nationality) playing (whatever nationality). The WWE isn't even calling Rusev Russian... they're simply playing off of the fact that his actual nationality (Bulgarian) has a long history of alliance with the Russians.

So if i would be a wrestler, i would have a "Turkish" nemesis, because Hungarians fought for 50-whatever years with the Turkish?

Nothing they do makes any sense, and nothing you say makes any sense. It's perfect.

I dunno I just find patriotism feuds a bit dry.
What's worse is I know I shouldn't, cause I'm involved with one vs the English.

oh and as for Tyler Breeze, he is a great heel, he makes you want to watch him get his dick kicked in. yet he finds a way to win. reminds me of watching Ric Flair when i was a kid, he would talk people in to hopefully see him get his ass kicked, and he would get his ass kicked, but he would always find a way to win/keep his title. that his how you heel, not by squashing over local indie talent. but my making people want to see you lose, and never giving it to them.

I would argue that there is a good place for both kinds of heel, but I agree with your assessment of Breeze. He has "top heel" written all over him.

The difference as far as I can tell is that Ric Flair could work the same gimmick for 30+ years and have it stay believable. The unbeatable monster can only last so long (despite the legions of idiotic Kane fans that keep wanting him to put a mask back on and think it'll be okay if he just starts dominating everything in sight again)

I don't get the beef with him losing to Jericho for the opening match of their feud. I mean he's not being packaged as a monster heel, never has been. He's an occult leader and more an intelligent heel than a monster heel.
I can see why the WWE put Jericho over first, simply because the whole gimmick Bray seems to have hinges on him being motivated by trying to destroy people. If he attacks Jericho, then beats him in his first match - the feud is then pretty much nothing. At least now people have a hook to see how he'll react to losing a match against a guy he should have really blown away. If he beat Jericho, Jericho wouldn't have a comeback really. What can he say? I got beat up by the Wyatts on Raw, then lost at Battleground, erm, I want a rematch? This way, Wyatt can tap into his motivation to take out Jericho "build him up, so he can knock him down" kinda thing.
I'd be more pissed that Rowan and Harper are being booked to look weak against the Usos.
