I love his portrayal as Patrick Bateman and he is really great in out of the furnace. Speaking of that movie Casey Affleck nailed it out of the park. The fake retirement thing was for a mockumentry directed by Casey Affleck. It's pretty funny, I caught a little bit of it. I think it's called I'm still here American Psycho is the other exception I was thinking of. He was great in that. He's also been in other good movies (Equilibrium is one of my favorite movies period)... but he's not all that great in them. Out of the Fire doesn't interest me at all, it looks like arthaus bullshit to me, but the ads seem to prove my point... Bale is just doing more of his typical brooding nonsense.

Mike! You haven't seen American Psycho??? I'm so disappointed in you! That's one of the all time great mindbenders! I HATE to acknowledge DiCaprio's talent because I hate that $#@! so much, but he really is good. $#@! Titanic though. That movie is one of the worst pieces of sentimental garbage ever put to celluloid. He made up for it with Shutter Island though, the movie that should have gotten the rave reviews that inexplicably went to Inception. Shutter Island was pretty amazing. I might have to go watch it again now... I also did wonder why it got overshadowed by Inception.

Take this however you will but Out of the Furnace has been getting completely lukewarm reviews. Supposedly the performances are good but the film is just your basic, bland revenge story.

Also I can't remember anything about Inception... You're better off. In fact, pretty much anything with Marion Cotillard in it, you're better off not remembering (or better yet, not wasting your time to watch in the first place). Hardy has probably my favorite line of the entire movie though.

Still better reviewed than Prisoners, which was supposed to remind us all that Wolverine can act and instead reminded us all that a busy plot with mixed messages doesn't entertain anyone.

That guy on the top of the Prisoners poster looks like Joel from Last of Us.
Just saying.

As a person I really can't get behind DiCaprio. it's not that he's a rapist or child molester or anything like that, he just seems to have a casual arrogance about him that rubs me the wrong way. I guess he's one of those people who feels that he's great at what he does but actually has the talent to back it up. But yeah, at this point I think that every other film fan that I personally know has seen and fiercely recommended American Psycho but I just haven't yet decided to sit down and check it out.

There is a part where he accident breaks a wine glass on his hand he is bleeding out of it badly instead of stopping he goes with and ends wiping his blood on Kerry Washingtonians face.

Django was overrated. Wildly. Because; Tarrantino.
BUT... DiCaprio and the German guy made it worth watching anyway.

Just look at the cast bale, c Affleck, willem dafoe, woody harrelson as a inbred meth dealer, Sam Shepard, Forrest Whittaker, zoe saldana

*Searches Django* *Instantly realizes how historically inaccurate it is* LOL it's not meant to be historically accurate. It's a re-make of a Spaghetti Western about a guy who carries a gatling gun inside his wife's coffin, which he takes with him where he goes (none of that is in the re-make, of course).

I have a question; why am I expected to believe that Woody Harrelson can act? He's $#@!ing terrible. Don't get me wrong, he's entertaining in some thing, but acting? Not on his best day.

Well, for starters there were plenty of free black men in the U.S. at that time. Not a large percentage of the overall population, but there were still probably a few thousand running around Second of all, he's not technically free. He's the "property" of another bounty hunter per the deal they strike up. Finally, Jackson is the "house slave" of a rich man. He's not rich himself. There were, however, wealthy black men in the United States at that time.
