Indeed. They also alluded to his badassery in the films, Gimli took many orcs out at the battle of helms deep, he's the one who went with Aragorn and smashed through them while Legolas was surfing down steps shooting people with arrows. The thought they made Gimli nothing other than comic relief and not Legolas' equal is preposterous. I do wonder though... how often did we see Gimli getting kills in the film as compared to Legolas? The same amount of time I'd wager. You are just focussed on the Legolas flashy set pieces which is why you think he's more highlighted. During Helms Deep you must have seen Gimli take out at least 50 orcs at the same time. |

Is anyone else really excited for wolf of Wall Street? After just having watched the trailer... it looks like an incredibly stupid and generic film with terrible comedy elements. Definitely not my cup of tea. |

As for his acting, if you didn't think that he was amazing in Gilbert Grape then you've either never seen retarded people or good acting before. Someone mentioned "This the End". I have apathy or hatred for probably half that cast yet the premise, and what I've read about the film, sound pretty entertaining. The Desolation of Smaug currently sits at 78%, or 13% higher that last year's Hobbit film, with 14 positive reviews and 4 negative. |
