Joking or not, you can certainly stand to be less aggressive. Pssh, why would I do that? Actually in real life I'm not very aggressive at all, I'm actually a very quiet person and keep mostly to myself. It's fun to let loose sometimes, and doing so online has the least amount of real world consequences. At least let loose on people you aren't trying to be nice to at the same time. Let your anger out on someone who deserves it. Like IWC fanboys. Point is some people don't understand your always in character. And when your only defense for unknowingly starting trouble is "It's a joke" maybe that's a sign you should ease up just a smidge Well most of the times that defense is entirely truthful, and when it isn't I'll openly admit that I was being serious. Like with what I said about Stewie in that one post... Yeah. 'Cause when I shoot some guy, then I'm honest about why I did it, that makes it okay.

No, not at all. That's the kind of thing that's wrong. Saying somebody's opinions are wrong is one thing, calling them stupid is just a way to provoke and instigate something more than it already is. I already said why I posted in the thread. I was asked to state my opinion on the matter, and I did. So...you're defending him. Stewie wouldn't be called stupid if he realized that he should stop saying what he's been saying. Yet he continues to act the way he does, knowing that he's going to be called stupid. I'll go through the comments in a second, but I wanted to address this one first. No, I'm not defending anybody, I've actually said that I've talked to stewie about it. Have I not said that? Making a message to one individual person is a lot easier than making messages to literally 90% of the rest of the forum. Posting in the thread was the best possible way to address the matter as a whole. What exactly does Stewie do besides state his opinion on the matter? I can guarantee that none of you guys change the way you act even when told not to. For example, WK got warned (and admitted it was reasonable), yet also blatantly said that he wasn't going to stop acting that way. I kindly said, that's fine, and that I would address it if the time comes again. Knowing that you're going to be called stupid isn't a logical reason to stop acting the way you're acting. If you're stating your opinion (which he does) and you're being called stupid, that's called attacking (but again, tell me what else he does and I'll address that too). If you stated any of your opinions and everybody else on the forum said you were stupid, would you change your opinions just to please everybody else? I doubt you would and that's exactly what I'm getting out of what you stated there.

Your second point:Bad comparison is bad. Shooting a guy and insulting someone are in completely different spectrums.

Yeah in the end my suspension wasn't even attributed to the comments I made about Stewie. It was for the same reason you got a warning.(At least I'm fairly certain that was it) The relation between them really isn't the point. The point is that stewie engages in a behavior that irritates his peers and gets protected. You engage in an behavior that irritates your peers and get suspended.

What exactly does Stewie do besides state his opinion on the matter? Do you see me going around the gaming discussions, saying MAN! I LOVE VALVE! BEST GAME DEVS EVER! THE CAKE IS A LIE! No, you don't. You guys hate Valve, so I don't shove my love of Valve in all of your faces. Stewie knows we hate Lesnar, so he goes around saying BROCK LESNAR! THE BEAST UNLEASHED! HERE COMES THE PAIN!

I doubt you would and that's exactly what I'm getting out of what you stated there. First of all, this is by definition a defense of stewie, which you said you weren't doing. Second of all, we're not calling stewie "stupid" to change his behavior. We're calling him stupid because he's intentionally irritating everyone around him, and it's cathartic to tell him how his behavior comes across. Nobody wants stewie to change his "opinion", and I'm sick and tired of that strawman being tossed out. muta shares many of stewies opinions, and doesn't get the same reactions. People want stewie to stop being so obnoxious or, barring that, to be able to treat him in the way he earns with that behavior.

Pax was an alright guy. Yes, he likes Minecraft. You still shouldn't of gone ape on him like you did. I'm no expert on debating, but I'm pretty sure Wild has explained that exaggerated comparisons are a valid debate tactic.

These's forums have been full of trolls for years several guys have come and gone and we've all had to push back on them. The only one I remember being sensitive about it is Chris (though I do think sometimes he honestly believed what he was saying) though I do disagree with Knight a bit. In some circumstances being annoying to someone because their annoying you isn't the best course of action although the typical "If someone's trolling ignore it and let them have their fun" philosophy isn't working in this case either I don't exactly think Stewie's a troll though. I think he has a not-so-popular opinion from the rest of the people on these forums and everybody hates on him for that reason (again, if somebody disagrees, give me examples because I haven't seen anything other than that). If Stewie was just saying stupid stuff, we wouldn't care. But he goes out of his way to shove his opinions in our face, because he knows it irritates us. Yet, Wildknight going around saying that people that like Brock Lesnar are whatever he says isn't shoving his opinions down people's throats? I've never seen Stewie shove his opinion down somebody's throat unless they do the same, and if he does, he usually ends with "agree to disagree" or something along those lines....and the other person just keeps it going (again, I may have missed something, feel free to prove me wrong). Just put the guy on vacation I'f we can't solve the issue and Since Stewie purposely does nothing positive to drive a conversation along Why would I suspend somebody that quite frankly isn't doing anything wrong in my eyes? He may not be adding to the conversation, but he's definitely not doing anything wrong. When people simply say "Here comes Sandow," they're doing the same thing as when he says "THE BEAST BROCK LESNAR. YES!!!!" If Stewie was just saying stupid stuff, we wouldn't care. But he goes out of his way to shove his opinions in our face, because he knows it irritates us. Exactly. It's true, perhaps I should take a more mature direction in my response... but I don't see where allowing someone to push buttons without consequences is the better answer for anyone. Again, I have discussed these things with Stewie already. Yeah in the end my suspension wasn't even attributed to the comments I made about Stewie. It was for the same reason you got a warning.(At least I'm fairly certain that was it) Well, it did have a bit to do with it admittedly, but it wasn't everything. Which brings me to another aspect of the argument at hand: If you guys don't instigate, why have two people that attack Stewie apologized? Muta and Soon have both apologized to him because they take it too far (although Soon didn't do it until provoked, but nonetheless, he apologized, which I respect). Also my commentary is irritating? "He is fully aware of how irritating his commentary can be, and he does nothing to curb it. Contrasted with, for instance, soondragon, who was suspended from this board, the only difference that I can find is that soon actually has the guts to stand on his convictions, rather than passive-aggressively provoking people and then hiding behind Mods." Everybody's can be (including mine). Not just yours.

You're doing the same thing, but being less obnoxious (which I haven't actually missed, once again. He has been addressed about this). The relation between them really isn't the point. The point is that stewie engages in a behavior that irritates his peers and gets protected. You engage in an behavior that irritates your peers and get suspended. Again, he's not being protected, the issue was just brought to everybody. No, I'm not defending anybody (as a whole). I'm taking in both sides of the argument. He has been talked to about what he has done, and now so is everybody else. You guys just don't know what Stewie says because, well, like I said, I was able to contact one person through messaging. I can't really message 90% of the board (or can, but what's the point when there's a whole thread disagreeing with the moderation)? Difference between the two sides though? Stewie actually acts mature and says that he'll try to help situations. Everybody else starts blaming Stewie for their own mishaps.

I hardly count "THE BEAST BROCK LESNAR!!!!!!1!!!!" as being mature or helping. Thanks for the laugh though.
