I decided to create this thread to avoid arguments in the other threads.
Feel free to post your beliefs and discuss other beliefs here.

As an agnostic, I'm not sure about this thread.

Meh, just trying to keep religious arguments from derailing other threads. We'll just see how this goes.

Mainly because, as wildknight said, the founder of the Jehova's Witnesses rewrote the Bible and it is against the beliefs of Christianity. He didn't rewrote it. And we still have that order, that we cannot write new things into it/rewrite it. If we consider writing in God's real name, and identity rewriting it, then he did. And before you get offended, i am writing from my side of it. I understand your side, and all, but from my side, he made it a bit easier to use his real name in the poems. And well, he did not rewrite it, he re-translated it.And those two have some difference.

I was approached by a group of Jehovah's Witnesses and they basically forced me to take one of their books. I was a little bit interested to see what the difference was, so I read it. There was a lot in there that I don't remember seeing in my Bible.

And if i would write Hungarian sentence for you, using synonyms and such, you would get different kinds of translations too. That's what happened here. You're bible is translated in a way, mine is translated in other. That's it. 1000 year old mystery solved.

All the versions of the Bible I have read are worded differently, but still have the same exact meaning.

I'm sure there's more to it. Not really. We're not seen as real Christians because we use a newly translated version of the bible.

They re-word it so the new gen can get it.

I've read the following: King James Version; New International; There is 3 more I can't think of the names. Yes, they do reword it so others can understand, but it all still has the same meaning.

Oh, so've read a newly translated bible? Don't ask me who did the good one for us (the one in which the only thing that changed are some synonyms and they wrote Jehova instead of his rank "God".), because i'm not home in English translations.

Just because we know his name (again, no offense. I respect everyone's opinion.) and we use a bit more fresh words, so kids get it too, we still believe in the same. Our bible is a bit more complicated than yours (from Watchtower, i learned what trinity really is. I don't think i want to write it down like this for you because the differences in our beliefs, so i'll just leave this open like this. And a few more things, like why the 1st WW started, how and since when Jesus is our king, and can we join him, and help him on ruling the earth.)

You directly contradicted yourself. Come on Ati, think a little before you post, that's all I ask of you. Also I mean no disrespect to your religion or those who believe in it, just in case you misinterpreted the meaning of the above.
