Just a poll. Seems like no one talks about it but me, so why not see what you think about it, right here, right now! I'd like you to post your full opinion as well. The poll will be as descriptive as possible. Enjoy! "One shall stand! One shall fall!"

The cartoon from the early 2000s was good( the one with the mini trons). Everyone knows I don't like the movies and hate Micheal Bay.

I didn't watch any Transformers as a kid so I have no emotional attachment. I didn't have any Transformer action figures as a kid, so I again have no psychological attachment. I had no alternative means of introduction to the things aside from Michael Bay's movie which was essentially giant refrigerators falling onto each other in a poorly lit environment so you have no idea who to root for.
In short, I don't care for talking robots that don't save the world from colorful supervillains.

I was compelled to choose "Starscream deserves a push" because; wrestling, but if I'm being serious about it, the Transformers cartoon of the 80's was, in retrospect, all kinds of jacked up and silly, so I'm not going to say that they "ruined" Transformers. I'll even defend the movies to some extent.

I found the Transformers to be ridiculous but awesome in their own "this is the 80s and the 80s are ridiculous and awesome" ways. I played with the toys a bit but didn't really follow the extended commercial that was the television show.
That the films were able to take something inherently dopey and make it even worse (while more or less relegating the star characters to the sidelines in favor of a love story between two vaguely human douchebags) is quite an achievement, so I went with the "ruined" route. Though to be perfectly honestly I'm really pretty apathetic either way.

Transformers is awesome.
...Okay, non-Micheal Bay Transformers is awesome. Micheal Bay Transformers is an idiotic romance and series of toilet jokes with a few robots occasionally appearing the background.

All I really remember about the first Transformers (the only one I wasted my time to see) is that Megan Fox is introduced with worshipful low-grade porn angles, Shia Le however you spell it is a bumbling goon who gets too much screen time and is a douchebag in every way, John Turturro plays a hammy, mugging idiot who's ostensibly the leader of some military B story, Megatron doesn't look like Megatron, and Spielberg described the core theme of the film as "A boy and his car". In other words, complete stupidity that's only vaguely related to actual Transformers stupidity.

Fans of Transformers movies make me disappointed. I'm not a "fan"... but they're not even remotely as bad as people are making them out to have been, particularly given some of the absolute trash that people then turn around and enjoyed. The DK Trilogy is a textbook example of bad writing from beginning to end, and only ever trumps the Transformers series in the area of cinematography, yet to hear you people talk, it was a masterpiece.
