Power Rangers son, Power Rangers. Oh... yeah. I didn't enjoy the movie that much. It wasn't terrible or anything, but it's one of those cases where the first 3 minutes were the most enjoyable part b/c I got to rock out to VH 8) Have to confess, I've not seen it. I was never really into Power Rangers that much as a kid.

Every Lord of the Rings movie for starters... Uh-oh. Someone restrain WK, I'll get the tranqs. Nah we're talking about soundtracks, not actual movie quality 8) Besides, I LIKE the Lord of the Rings movies. I just hate that so many people think they're getting the proper story of Lord of the Rings when they watch them.

Oh heck yeah man! I must admit though the majority of older music that I like is due to nostalgia. It is all my father listens too, therefore I've been listening to music like that since I was three. So, in a strange way, I actually did grow up with that stuff. That's cool.... that's how I learned to love Motown and Johnny Cash. Your Dad sounds like he's got awesome taste in music LOL He does indeed... if you ignore his love for Overkill and Megadeth. Those bands are terrible. Just like every other band that wanted to be like Black Sabbath or Slayer. Metallica is about the only one that has come close to being as good as Sabbath. Slayer... eh not so much. At least all of the bands I mentioned don't give heavy rock a bad name though...
I'm looking at you, Satanic bands!

Megadeth put out some pretty cool music, IMO. Symphony of Destruction is one of my favorite songs. I was never a big Slayer fan

Black Sabbath, Slayer, Metallica,? Good? I laugh....actually, I like Metallica in some cases. The others suck. Ozzy's too overrated, but he admittedly has some good stuff, both with Sabbath and as a soloist/with Lita Ford. Megadeth is pretty good though. (Edited this by the way).

I can't understand how anyone thinks they are anything other than an adaptation of the story, things have been added, changed and cut completely. Whether it is for the better is another question entirely and is completely subjective. In essence, the core of the story is the same. A dude leaves home with a ring and some buddies, throws it into a fire, people fight.

I'm anal enough that a particular detail like that would bother me, but what really gets me is how they selectively edited some of the core theme out of the story entirely, and I strongly dislike the fact that he took what was meant to be a historical epic and tried to turn it into a character-driven story.

I usually just say I don't like things that I assume others don't like so that they won't jump on me for it. In truth, I like all the heavy stuff. Especially... crap I forgot the name. Well they did Cowboys from Hell and Walk. That should tell you everything.
PANTERA! That's the name I was thinking of!

Fair enough, but then they added Radaghast into The Hobbit, and he's every bit as annoying (in the movie) as Tom Bombadil ever was.

Still looking forward to watching Desolation of Smaug in a couple of weeks in HFR though.

I am incredibly annoyed that they added in Legolas to the Hobbit movies. I hated him the most out of every character in the LotR movies and now they add him back in where he has no business being because their boner for elves won't settle the f*** down? Yeah, no thanks.

I don't know what to make of Legolas being in the Hobbit. On one hand it ties in nicely with the Jackson work and links in well with the film versions of Lord of the Rings, as in you get a first hand account of Legolas' motives when he joins the fellowship after seeing the events of the Hobbit unfold and presumably see Sauron come back to power, after all Jackson is also exploring the extended stories in the Hobbit which were only mentioned and happening off page. On the other hand his dad was the closest we even got to Legolas in the Hobbit, he didn't even exist as far as we were aware while reading that particular book and the elves were pretty crappy then. Unless he's set up as the black sheep of the family and helps them and replaces the guy who kills the dragon in the town. I have no idea how he's worked into it. It does seem rather like Jackson figured he'd get all the original guys in for at least 1 cameo.

I just hope they don't replace the future king of Dale being the one who slew the dragon. If they had Legolas do it instead I would be beyond pissed.

*shrug* I can see it happening, That's what has me worried... I can equally see him guiding the dwarves through mirkwood to the city then turning up during the battle of the 5 armies as well. My bet is in him meeting them at Beorns place just after Gandalf goes.

Is Citizen Kane that boring movie with the huge plothole that critics claim to be the best movie ever?
