I personally didn't much care who won. I loathe Seattle for being the city that destroyed music in the 90's, and I find Peyton Manning fans to be obnoxious on the level of the most ardent and vocal cults, so I couldn't properly root for either team.
BUT... I did want a competitive game. Seattle should be ashamed rather than proud. They steamrolled a team that barely showed up.

Marvel unveiled the Captain America trailer before the second quarter.
You can bet your right buttock that I left shortly thereafter.

Because you're not a real Champion if you only defeat the other guy when he's at his worst?

I'm Sorry but they steamrolled a Denver Broncos team that not only lead the NFL in offense, they shattered just about every record you can to be the best offensive team in the NFL. They broke Most points in a season, Most touchdowns in a season, Most players with 10 or more touchdowns, Most games with 50+ points, and Most points in the second half of a game. The Seahawks were the best defensive team in the NFL, and polarized an incredible team. not only should they not be ashamed they should be DAMN Proud. It's not like the Broncos were dropping balls all night, their plays were getting broken up all night. Hats off to the Seahawks. Congratulations!

I don't want to take everything away from the Seahawks, it's not as if they're not a great team... but the Broncos were clearly not firing on all cylinders, or even half of their usual ability. As good as Seattle's defense is, the best offense in the league should have generated more than 8 points.

I'm Sorry but they steamrolled a Denver Broncos team that not only lead the NFL in offense, ... that's exactly my point. If you think the Denver that played in the Super Bowl last night is the same team that won all those games and broke all those records, you're deluding yourself. Denver beat themselves.

Yeah, Denver just wasn't good last night. It wasn't that the Seahawks were playing their best, it was that Denver was playing their worst.

I care nothing for football but after waltzing into my dad's living room and seeing that the score was something like 29-0, I was highly amused and openly hoped for a complete shutout simply because it would have made for a more entertaining story. Is this the biggest spread in superbowl history?
Anyway it was funny- my dad watches the game every year but at the start of the third quarter he came over and asked if I'd show him some more Breaking Bad instead.

Yeah, Denver just wasn't good last night. It wasn't that the Seahawks were playing their best, it was that Denver was playing their worst. if the seahawks disguised their defensive packages and crossed up their coverages, it could have easily been them playing their best. when Pete Carrol coached USC he consistently one of the best defenses in the country. simply because he had a knack for changing up defensive looks. good defenses make good offenses inept.
