Romo (apparently) also is really great and only chokes under pressure. Cowboys are my favorite team and I just don't like him at all, but to a lot of people he's supposedly great.

smh..... you may beat me in wrestling debates , but you will not beat in football debates , i played on a team that was known for their killer defense , seattle's defense is a f***ing beast!!!! & no peyton did not choke........ this isnt wrestling or motocross , you win as team , you lose as a team as my coach used to say back in the day I played on a team too. What's your point, exactly? First of all, a single key player CAN tank a team in football. Your coach's awesome inspirational cliches aside, the fact of the matter is that a machine is made up of moving parts, and if a key part isn't doing it's job, the whole machine functions poorly, and may very well not function at all. Manning wasn't entirely responsible for the loss, but for you to claim that a single player falling apart in such an important game couldn't possibly have an effect just because Mama Says crocodiles is ornery cuz they got all them teeth and ain't got no toothbrush makes me think you're even less intelligent than even I could have imagined. Sorry, not buying your "because it's a BEAST!" argument for Seattle anymore than I buy it for Lesnar. In fact, just so we're clear, "because; BEAST!" is never going to be a successful defense for any point in any argument, ever.what position did you play?? |

I've never seen him play tremendously great for a whole season, let alone him being the most paid quarterback in the NFL (or the Cowboys, I can't remember). |

defense wins championships!! i played football in middle school &we were a 2 time champ , there was numerous times where my defense bailed our offense out & won the game for us! #1) the offensive line did a horrible job @ protecting peyton #2) the defense couldnt tackle for s***........ #3) peyton didnt choke...... football is a team sport & imo peyton did all he could to try to win the game but his other teammates didnt step up #4) all season long denver has never played a defense like seattle , theirs a reason why their #1 in league Peyton DID choke. He threw several bad passes. Beyond that, while Seattle's defense certainly played a great game, they didn't play a game so great that they could have held the best offense in the league to 8 points. Delude yourself to the contrary all you like. They can hold the best offense to 8 points and did. Payton was throwing the ball just fine, Seahawks just broke the plays up. Wilson threw his fair share of bad passes, Denver didn't capitalize the way the Seahawks did. |

If your point is that "defense can make a team successful" then yes, no doubt about that. The problem is that you're taking a HUGE leap in logic from there to the debacle we saw that the Super Bowl last night. By the logic you're claiming, Seattle should have been undefeated all season, as should ANYBODY who plays that same defense, when in reality Seattle has been running the same defense for four years and has just now reached the Super Bowl, much less won the thing. |

Do you seriously not get that your entire argument hinges on this defense being not only good, not only great, but unbeatable. Again, we're talking about the best offense in the NFL. How can you guys seriously be SO blind as to not realize that it takes more than just Seattle executing well to create that outcome??? |
